A born & breed Southlander, Jaimee grew up on her families sheep & beef farm and has always had a passion for design and how things work.

Having studied in Otago, Jaimee gained a Bachelor of Interior Design/Interior Architecture at Otago Polytechnic – afterwards, gaining experience in the super yacht industry with San Lozreno Italy – which was a great building block as she was able to immerse herself in the industrial design of Europe, having some of the world’s most beautiful architecture & design.

After returning home to New Zealand, Jaimee began her career in a high end interior design firm based in both Auckland and Arrowtown – before creating her own design firm, self named ‘Pryde Interior Design’.

Jaimee believes “great design happens when you have good communication and relationships with the architects, builders and all trades it’s where problems are solved the magic all come alive”. It’s also very important to have a mindset that anything is possible.

Jaimee invests herself into her projects, staying on top of every detail with weekly site visits to keep her finger on the pulse of the project. “The best part of my job is seeing a complete project and your client in their new space. Seeing them content and happy, that’s when you know you have done your job, it’s great to be excited for them and gives me a great sense of achievement to see people happy”.
